The Hens of Stamford Hill exhibition by Sara McLaughlin

The Hens of Stamford Hill

The Hens of Stamford Hill and other Hackney curiosities is our latest exhibition at Beaucatcher, showcasing handmade framed prints by local artist Sara McLaughlin. The exhibition runs from 5 October until December 2015.

About Sara:

I am a local artist based in Stoke Newington, working mainly in oils, pencil, charcoal and printmaking. I am an associate of the National Society of Artists, Sculptors and Printmakers and also a member of the Islington Arts Society. This year I have exhibited at the Menier Gallery, Southwark, Lauderdale House and Springfield Park Café, among other venues. The hens really do live in Stamford Hill…

About the printmaking techniques:

These original handmade prints use a variety of printing techniques. No two prints will ever be the same, as the way in which the ink is applied creates a unique effect. The techniques I have used for this show are lino cut; monoprint with mixed media; photo etching from original drawings; collograph; drypoint

Prices for this show range between £60 and £70.
