Stuart Rowe exhibition

On 27 October 2019 we have a new art exhibition opening for local artist Stuart Rowe. We’ve been after Stuart for a while now since seeing his beautiful paintings in the Library Gallery three years ago so we are super excited about finally having him show with us.

Born in Liverpool, Stuart studied Fine Art at Cardiff College of Art and now lives in Stoke Newington. He worked at the Tate for eight years before focusing on his art practice as an illustrator and watercolour painter.

Stuart has travelled in the US, Canada, Japan, Ireland, Scotland and particularly Norfolk and Cornwall where he has been influenced by the landscape. Throughout his career he has drawn on these experiences, reflecting them into his work with particular interest in forests, trees, beaches, rivers and stones. These landscapes are originally painted in watercolour but the works shown here are giclee prints.

Stuart is also showing some nude studies that are created from memory reflecting the history of life drawing classes he attended.

We would love to see you at the opening private view on Sunday 27 October from 6pm until 9pm. Here you can meet Stuart, enjoy a lovely beverage and be convivial along to the sounds of musician and singer-songwriter Miles Pascall

Miles Pascall

An old soul with a young heart, a sub-sequential by-product of wisdom and angst. A self-proclaimed modern day memoirist, a writer and an encyclopaedia of circumstances that people can reference and interpret however they choose. His music is for the mindful, the melancholic and the miscellaneous.

Hear Miles’ music on Spotify and Soundcloud.
